Producer info and cup notes:

Open since the 1970s, Kamagogo Factory is one of 4 washing stations operated by the Kiru Farmers Cooperative Society. Kamagogo serves approximately 1,000 members of Kiru, with a big focus on sustainability and treating the environment with proper care. Strategically positioned washing tanks are located far away from drinking water sources and Kiru works with members to plant shade trees and encourage biodiversity on their members' farmlands. Producers surrounding Kamagogo also tend to corn, bananas, beans, and tea. Processing at Kamagogo is pretty standard for Kenyan stations, with cherry being handpicked and delivered on the same day as picking. Coffees are then fully depulped and washed, fermented overnight, and then dried for 7-15 days. This coffee is very special to me, offering a very clean and sweet experience that breaks up the usual zippy and processy Kenya that we've had on recently.

Cup Notes: Incredibly punchy and ripe yellow fruits hit the palate right away with apricot, pineapple, and guava. As it cools, a very crisp, clear, and juicy watermelon note comes to the surface and ties the cup together. Absolute fruit bomb and impeccably clean.
