Burundi Kayanza Incuti Washed

Region: Kayanza Province, Burundi

Producers: 400 producers organized around the Incuti producer group

Varietal: Bourbon

Process: Washed: Floated to remove defects, depulped and fermented wet, partially dried on shaded beds before being moved to open air and piled up into pyramids, which are then turned over incrementally to promote even drying.

Tasting notes: Pear, Lemongrass, black tea 

Roaster Notes: 

BC3.5 Drum - This coffee took a ton of heat at the start, cutting a bit early to stretch the middle a little and allow more even development. This created a lovely and delicate tea-like cup with lots of good fruity acidity.
